Anne L. O'Neal, 1923-2003, St. Joseph

Anne L. O'Neal, 80, of St. Joseph, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at a care center in Savannah, Mo.

She was born April 25, 1923, in Savannah, a daughter of Jay and Bessie Elliott Elliston. She was married to John O'Neal, who died in 1968.

Mrs. O'Neal worked for several years at the St. Joseph Paper and Box Co. until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, Billy Joe Gilkey, of St. Joseph; two daughters, Muriel Jackson, of Sedalia, and Lois Patton, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The body was cremated.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home chapel in St. Joseph.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
